Section 51 — Employment Insurance Act: Information

If, in considering a claim for benefits, the Commission finds an indication from the documents relating to the claim that the loss of employment resulted from the claimant’s misconduct or that the claimant voluntarily left employment, the Commission shall give the claimant and the employer an opportunity to provide information as to the reasons for the loss of employment;
and if the information is provided, take it into account in determining the claim.
