Section 142 — Canada Labour Code: Duty to assist

The person in charge of a work place and every person employed at, or in connection with, a work place shall give all reasonable assistance to the Head to enable him or her to exercise his or her powers or to perform his or her duties or functions under this Part; an external adjudicator and a member of the Board to enable them to, in accordance with subsection 12.001(2) or 14(5), exercise or perform the powers, duties or functions conferred on the Board by this Part; and every person to whom powers, duties or functions have been delegated under subsection 140(1) or (1.1), or under an agreement entered into under subsection 140(2), who is exercising those powers or performing those duties or functions.
