Section 143 — Canada Labour Code: Obstruction and false statements

No person shall obstruct or hinder, or make a false or misleading statement either orally or in writing to the Head in the exercise of his or her powers, or in the performance of his or her duties or functions, under this Part; an external adjudicator or a member of the Board in the exercise or performance, in accordance with subsection 12.001(2) or 14(5), of the powers, duties or functions conferred on the Board by this Part; or any person to whom powers, duties or functions have been delegated under subsection 140(1) or (1.1), or under an agreement entered into under subsection 140(2), who is exercising those powers or performing those duties or functions.
