Section 329 — Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations: Visitors and permit holders

Any of the following persons who were in Canada immediately before the coming into force of this section are temporary residents under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and are subject to its provisions: a visitor under the former Act; and a person issued a permit under section 37 of the former Act. A permit issued by the Minister under section 37 of the former Act is deemed to be a temporary resident permit referred to in section 24 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act .
